Rejuvenation of the ancient Rajdepur Math is taking place under the leadership of Abbot Mahant Shivsagar Bharti

Azamgarh/Uttar Pradesh. The ancient Siddha Peeth Rajdepur Monastery is situated at a distance of three kilometers north of Jiyanpur on the Doharighat Highway in Sagdi Tehsil of Azamgarh district of UP. This monastery is about two hundred years old, which is discussed even in foreign countries as the source of education in Indian philosophy. The tradition of Siddhpeeth Razadepur Math is about 200 years old and it is included among the famous Siddhpeeths of the country. The branches of this monastery are spread in every corner of the country and it has lakhs of disciples. During the tenure of the great saint Budhu Baba, Razadepur Math was decorated with the ornaments of Siddhapeeth. The saints who sit on this bench are called Mahant/Sanyasi. Presently Mahant Shivsagar Bharti is the abbot of this monastery.
Razadepur Math has always been a victim of government neglect. No grant was received from any government for the beautification and rejuvenation of the historical monastery. In this regard, the present Yogi government was informed through a letter written by the abbot Mahant Shivsagar Bharti, but the irony is that the completion of the survey was done after getting the math done. Now neither the government nor the administrative officials are paying attention to this historical monastery. Frustrated, under the leadership of Abbot Mahant Shivsagar Bharti, all the nearby villagers have come together and taken up the task of rejuvenating the monastery and the temples inside it. All the villagers and village heads are together contributing with their body, mind and money in the rejuvenation of the Math.
Taking up the task of rejuvenating Razadepur Math, Abbot Mahant Shivsagar Bharti has started the work of lighting the temples with the help of the regional public. Dozens of painters and laborers are working in the temple. For the rejuvenation of the temple, Abbot Mahant Shivsagar is taking the cooperation of the people of the area along with the head of Bharti village. The work of beautification and rejuvenation is going on at a fast pace.
Mahant Shivsagar Bharti, head of Rajdepur Math, informed that Shri Vishnu Mahayagya will start at Rajdepur Math from 1st May 2024 and a huge Bhandara will be organized on 7th May 2024. In which thousands of people will receive Prasad. Govind Shastri Ji Maharaj will preach throughout the week in Vishnu Mahayagya. Mahant Shivsagar Bharti and nearby devotees say that the work of beautification and rejuvenation of Razadepur Math will be completed before Shri Vishnu Mahayagya. For this, workers are working continuously. On this occasion, Pradhan Devnath of Razadepur village, Jagdish Nayak, Arvind Nayak, Ganesh Nayak, Santosh Nayak, Ashok Nayak, Tejbhan Tiwari, Chandan Tiwari, Rajbahadur alias Badde, Murali Gaur, Deepak Upadhyay, Vilas, Pradhan Muniraj, Ankit Nayak, Niket Dubey, Pradhan Sonu Singh, Sanjay Tiwari, Pradeep Maurya Rajan Rao, Vinod Nayak, Omkar Tiwari, Vinay Nayak, Shivanand Nayak etc. are engaged with their heart, mind and money in renovating the temples. Abbot Mahant Shivsagar Bharti has expressed gratitude to everyone for this cooperation. He said that all the villagers and collaborators are worthy of virtue who are always ready to save Sanatan Dharma and culture. Despite being a young and childlike Mahant, Shivsagar Bharti ji is very active in the propagation of religion and the development of the Math in the religious field. Many religious programs like Yagya, Havan, Bhandare and Shri Ram Katha are also organized at Razadepur Math from time to time by Mahant Shivsagar Bharti Ji.
